Interesting Facts: I did my first triathlon in 1987 in Dayton, Ohio. I have done a triathlon in every state I have lived since then. This includes: Missouri, California, Texas, California again, Georgia, Kansas, Florida (St Anthony's six years in a row among others), Tennessee, and lastly California again (Californiaman 1/2 right after turning 40 - 1st ever 1/2).

I met my wife when we were both in Monterey, California at the Defense Language Institute studying Korean for a year. Neither one of us has ever been to Korea.

Word to the wise - when answering mother nature's call during a race choose your "cleaning" products wisely or else you can end up with "bike shorts" shaped poison ivy.
